Which are the brands that you deal in?
We deal in a wide range of mobile phones and accessories brands like OPPO, Apple iPhone, OnePlus, Amazon – Alexa & Kindle, Samsung Electronics, Havells, POCO, etc.
How is the changing behaviour affecting distribution business?
It has been noticed that Modern Trade (MT) and Retail Chain stores are increasing their footprints widely, so local Mom & Pop stores are facing challenges from these MT & Retail Chain stores in their local areas; walkins are getting divided. The local stores are facing another major challenge in their catchments from online stores that are making in-roads into these catchments thru convenient supplies & disruptive offers.
Moreover, there has been a recent trend of price wars between MT & Retail Chains and other stores. The finance options and affordability of MT & Retail Chains cannot be matched by GT, so there is a tough competition in the market due to these organised & deep-pocketed channels like MT, Retail Chains & online portals.
Please brief us on the changing patterns in the distribution business.
The number of general trade stores are on the decline due the intrusion of organised channels, which are driving out the marginal players (less profitable players) from the market. Franchisee Model stores are intruding into market, which is disrupting the GT Distribution business.
How do you provide service to the customers as service has become a main differentiator today?
SRK Group works on the ethical & transparent business model with clarity in schemes and allocation of stocks. We follow and implement the right brand strategy and principles and maintain regular association with the partners and consumers thru Snapshot MIS, Updates & Feedback.
We make sure that our customers and partners are satisfied. We help our partners to improve their profits and expand their business and offer value for money to our customers.
What is your roadmap in terms of turnover, extending into new areas, etc.?
We are aiming to get into National Distribution, become a Super Stockist, and striving to provide partners with insightful reports with the use of AI and technology and help them forecast the market demand and the purchase needs of customers using the past data, with the use of AI and helping them arrive at a better stocking and lower loses of investments in dead stocks.
